Sparkling Society is a game development company that creates games for mobile devices. It was founded in 2013 in the Netherlands by Mark Peters (CEO) and Edwin Moren (CTO).
As of the beginning of May 2015[update], there were more than a million daily user sessions for Sparkling Society games.[1]
History[edit]
Edwin Morren started developing games in his attic. His first (Android) app game was called: "City Island". Mark Peters joined with him and they started Sparkling Society together.
When it was first released, City Island was only available for Android devices.
After launching City Island, the company launched further versions - a premium version, City Island Premium (June, 2013) and City Island Winter Edition (September, 2013). Further releases followed based on the airport: City Island: Airport (May, 2013) and City Island Airport 2 (July, 2014).
Games and partnerships[edit]
In late 2013, Sparkling Society started a partnership with Innovatic, another company from the Netherlands. Together, they brought City Island to iOS devices and developed more new games in Unity. They have currently published these games:[2]

Since June 2015, a number of their games have been made available on Windows Phones.[citation needed]
