Shelf-type spice rack with 16 jars on it

Spice rack, also known as spice organizer, is a cabinet or shelf that is used to store minuscule jars,[1] in which spices, herbs, salts and sugars are held in. It can be classified as an organizational furniture, since it helps to keep the jars in a specific order and easy to reach.[2] Spice racks may be built out of wood, plastic, etc. Some spice racks are held in pantry or they may be installed on the door of a pantry.[3]

Labels

One way of keeping jars organized on a spice rack is to label them and put them in alphabetical order.[2]

Magnetic spice racks

In some cases, jars use magnets to hold them onto metal surfaces, thus leaving free space for cabinets and counters.[4]
