Sports Coaching Foundation Hyderabad[1] (SCF) is an Sports NGO started in the year 1991 at Masab Tank, Hyderabad City under PPP Model Project with Municipality Government - Transformed 1.35 Acre sensitive and conflicted public place into a role model Multi-Sport Complex in a stage-wise manner, trying to inject Sports Culture among the masses especially focused on BPL Children.

Vision: The CORE VISION of Sports Coaching Foundation (SCF) is to use ‘Sport’ as a 'Universal Tool' for empowering the underprivileged children & youth of the Society with life skills for their Overall Personality Development (Health, Fitness & Character). The core idea is to create a passion among them towards Sport, so that Sport can in turn touch and transform their lives in most constructive manner possible.

1990 – 2000

Sports Coaching Foundation was started in the year 1991 by K. Saibaba, Former Ranji Cricketer. The Govt. was interested in promoting sports culture for the masses and SCF with the help of Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad was able to transform marshy place into a sporting hub. In 1994 for the first time in the Country SCF with the support of Govt. imported Electronic Bowling Machine from New York and Astro Turf, a Synthetic base pitch for playing cricket. In 1995 for the first time in the Country Govt. also donated Floodlights.

Purpose & Objective[edit]

Our Purpose

Increasing Accessibility: SCF focuses on improving the accessibility of sports infrastructure to the middle and lower income pyramid of the population through its BITS (Build India Through Sports) Program. The goal is to bring sports facility to the door step of this target group.

Improving Outcomes: SCF's aim is 2 fold 1) Improve the quality of sportsmen participation in the country. 2) Reduce the medical burden of lifestyle diseases on self and government. Removing the barrier of

Build Values and improve quality of Time: An active sports life improves the quality or outcomes of other activities such as studies or workplace. Sports builds values such as team spirit, perseverance respect and Work culture.

Objective

Promoting Sporting Culture by building basic sports infrastructure while identifying and nurturing Talent in Rural Areas of the Society via sporting tournaments/leagues which helps in achieving the following:

•     Spread awareness of sports across different sections of the society, resulting in laurels and character building of the State.

•     To help children strive for excellence in sports.

•     To help children improve their neuromuscular coordination.

•     To inculcate work culture values as reflection, discipline and team work.
