Sri Asih is an Indonesian superhero live action film directed by Upi..[1] This film is adapted from the classic Indonesian comic book series, Sri Asih by R. A. Kosasih. This film is the second film from Bumilangit Cinematic Universe after Gundala (2019), and released on 17 November 2022[2]

Production[edit]
The film has been in preparation since 2019. Joko Anwar joined the project as a screenwriter with Upi in addition to his role as executive producer at Bumilangit Cinematic Universe. In September 2020, Joko Anwar confirmed that a Citra Award-winning actor would portray the main villain in the film, although his name has not yet been announced.[3]
Principal photography for the film began on November 18, 2020, after being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[4] Filming for the film was again temporarily postponed in December 2020 due to the film's main character, Pevita Pearce, who tested positive for COVID-19. Sri Asih film finished shooting on April 1, 2021, for a total of 67 days.[5]

Sri Asih was originally scheduled to premiere in November 2020,[6] but was pushed back to 2022.
On July 6, 2022, Sri Asih released its first official teaser.[7]
