The establishment of the Nimbark community[edit]

The Nimbark philosophy is known as Dvaitadvaita (dual and Advaita together). According to this philosophy, there are three divisions of existence, Chit (creature or separate soul), Achita (world or world) and Ishwar (Brahman or a personal) God). Chit and Achit are different from God because of their attributes (qualities) and abilities which are different from God. God exists individually and by himself but the mind and the unconscious depend on Him for their existence. At the same time they are separate from Him because they cannot be separate from Him. Thus Nimbark emphasized both the difference and the non-difference between the sun and its rays. Thus, according to him, Brahman or God has three entities which are the controller, Chit which is the enjoyer and Achit which is the enjoyer. This led to the establishment of the Nimbark community.
