St. Basil of Ostrog Serbian Orthodox Parish Halifax is the only Serbian Parish in Atlantic Canada. It is a missionary parish, founded on 26 December 2001, with the blessings of Right Rev. Georgije Đokić. Since its founding church services were held mainly at the old and now new Antiochian Orthodox Church of St. Antonios at 6141 Chebucto Road held intermittently every three months by different Serbian priests of the Eparchy of Canada officiating. The mission parish is under the omophorion of Serbian Bishop Mitrofan of Canada.
