Stay Out is an American punk band formed in Oakland, California by Grant Pack and Mason McGeorge after meeting at a party in the east bay and instantly becoming friends. For the first year, the band consisted of Grant Pack, Mason McGeorge, Alex Sorenson, and Tyler Casey. As of 2019, the band members are Grant Pack (vocals, bass), Mason McGeorge (vocals, guitar), and Nate Reynoso (drums, vocals). The band is managed by Steven Tivey of Black and White Productions.
History
Stay Out's first album End of the East Bay[1] was produced by Josh Garcia of Motor Studios who has worked with NOFX, Leftöver Crack, Lagwagon, Diesel Boy, Megadeth, and Mad Caddies to name a few. The album was released on October 13, 2017 on CD, iTunes, and Spotify. With the release of the first album, the band celebrated with their first official video produced by Sommer Jonez and Copper Pot Films filmed at 924 Gilman Street.
While on tour, the band has played at venues such as 924 Gilman Street, The Uptown in Oakland, Slims and DNA Lounge in San Francisco, Cornerstone in Berkeley with US Bombs, and the 5 Star Bar in Los Angeles. They have also played at the [2] which included punk rock legends US Bombs, Lower Class Brats, Verbal Abuse (band), Total Chaos, Narcoleptic Youth, and The Generators.
After the first few of the October 2017 California Wildfires including the Tubbs Fire, Stay Out and other punk bands played at 924 Gilman Street on October 13, 2017 for fire disaster relief where proceeds were donated to fire victims. They also played at the Takin' Back the Bay benefit to raise awareness and money to stop gun violence, also hosted by 924 Gilman Street and included bands such as Color Killer (the youngest band ever on Warped Tour) and Rockin Bob.
Musical Style
Stay Out plays punk, ska, and pop punk. While creating their own flair in the genre, the music is influenced by Rancid, Green Day, and blink-182. Songs are written by either Grant Pack or Mason McGeorge or both.
TV
Stay Out was featured on B-Sides On Air,[3] a TV show on KBCW (TV) 44/Cable 12 San Francisco/San Jose where they played their new single "Mad at the World"
Radio
Stay Out's band manager Steven Tivey was interviewed[4] by KALX 90.7FM Berkeley on October 8, 2018 about the Takin' Back the Bay Fundraiser—a fundraiser to raise awareness and to stop gun violence.
Song played on 107.7 The Bone as an intro to the event.

- Noise for Norcal - With the fires coming back to Northern California in 2018, Stay Out and several other punk bands from all over California including Swingin' Utters, Good Riddance (band), Fat Wreckchords, and Kevin Seconds (7 Seconds) as well as Hilltop Rats joined Heartburn Records to produce the album Noise for Nor Cal where proceeds were given to several different wildfire and disaster relief funds.
