Steffen Damborg (born 14 March 1970) is a Danish digital transformation specialist, disruption expert, speaker, and strategist. He has served as a Digital Director and a Chief Development Officer at the Danish publisher, JP/Politikens Hus.[1]
Education[edit]
He attended Aarhus University where he obtained a Masters of Science degree in Political Science in 1996, he studied a part of his degree at Heidelberg University in 1994. He received an executive MBA degree in Corporate Strategy from Aarhus University in 2012.
He attended Harvard Business School in 2016 and Cambridge University in 2020 for executive education.[2]
Career[edit]
He started his career as an editorial intern at Jyllands-Posten in 1996. He joined Danish Wind Industry Association as a Chief Communication Officer in 1997.[3] He served as a Chief Executive Officer and Editor-in-Chief at SK Aarhus, a joint-stock company from 1998 to 2004.[4]
In 2000, He joined DHF - Dansk Håndbold Forbund as member of Board of Representives. He remained a member of the Board of Directors of Divisionsforeningen Håndbold from 2000 to 2005.
He joined JP/Politikens Hus as a Digital Director in 2005 where he served for 11 years, during this tenure he held important offices in JP/Politikens Hus and its holdings. He has held the office of Chief Digital Officer at JP/Politikens Hus.[5]
He served at International News Media Association (INMA) as an International Speaker from 2014 to 2016. He spoke at INMA European News Media Conference 2014 in Tallinn, Estonia and he attended INMA Big Data for Media Conference 2017 at Reuters HQ, London as a speaker in 2017.[5]
He served as a Chief Executive Officer at Økonomisk Ugebrev, a Danish financial media company from 2016 to 2021.[6]
He has been working as an International Speaker & Moderator on Digital Transformation at the World Association of News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) since 2015.[7] He was appointed as a Chairman of the Bank Committee of Handelsbanken Danmark in 2017. He joined the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM) as a contractual Faculty Member in 2021.[8] He joined NRGi, a Danish energy group, in 2018 as a Board Member.[9]
