In 2022, they changed their label and signed to Thriller Records. The band currently consists of vocalist Matúš Píš, guitarist Norbert Tadial, bass player Marián Ličko and drummer Vladimír Stolár. The group has had several line-up changes throughout its career, with Píš as the only remaining founding member.
History
Formation (2012)
STERCORE was established in Kanianka in 2012. In a very short time, the band draws attention to itself with the seven-track demo "Ravens Nest". Not a year had passed since the release of the demo in 2013 when the band, in an expanded line-up, released its long-lasting album "Fake World", under the label Rest Of Noise Productions. The band was reinforced by the two Kotrík brothers. The band gradually prepared new musical material while continuing to play a lot of live shows, trying to get known in the scene. In this period, the band had the opportunity to share stages with bands Afgrund, Mumakil, Exhumed, Holocaust Cannibal, Benighted, Brujeria. After 4 years, the band underwent minor personnel changes in the position of drummer, which was occupied by Michal Maslák, and bass player Laco Hunka. Here we are slowly approaching the end of the recording of seven new songs for the EP "Eternal Sunlight". The EP was released in 2017 under the banner of the newly formed label Slovak Metal Army. The band was already gradually preparing new songs for the new album. In short time intervals, the band gradually released its new singles. Soon before that, the band released the new video "Eternal Sunlight", getting the band's name well known in the local scene. In the period between 2017-2019, the band released two singles "BROTHER", "DELIRIUM" recorded in the Hungarian NO SILENCE STUDIOS produced by Steve Simon. In 2019, the band announced the release of the new album "Indifference" under the banner of the Slovak label Gothoom Productions. The band underwent another personnel change where the Kotrík siblings were replaced by Norbert Tadial, Marián Ličko and drummer Vladimír Stolár.
Musical style
The band's musical style has been described as metalcore, deathcore, and modern metalcore, but the singer said in one interview that they simply don't belong in any typical genre and they have their own, which is stercore.
