Sterling Breeze Chandler (born 23 November 2003), known professionally as Sterling Chandler is a British photographer, model & director[1] who is best known for his work with Gucci, Dazed & GQ.[2][3][4][5][6] In addition to being the youngest photographer in history to have work published in GQ magazine.[7][8][9] Before he entered the field of photography, at the age of 13 Sterling was selected to be an Apple Digital Ambassador [10] for the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Career
In 2019, Sterling shot a campaign for the Aston Martin, DBS 50th Anniversary at Blenheim Palace.[11] Sterling is also the Photographer for band The Specials, he photographed their shows in London & Coventry during the tour for their No.1 album Encore back in 2019.[12][13][14]
In 2020, Sterling entered the spotlight by offering to help creative freelancers, local businesses and charities during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has worked with Tonic, A mental health charity [15], as well as directed the digital campaign for Love Record Stores.[16].
Following this Sterling has been praised for his recent work with Gucci, Dazed & GQ. Other examples of his work have been featured in publications such as The Independent, BBC News, Dazed & GQ Magazine.[17][18][19][7][20]
In December 2020, Sterling was named the youngest photographer in history to have work featured in GQ. Chandler’s photography was published in the January 2021 issue of British GQ magazine[21][22][23][24] and was showcased at the GQ Men of The Year Awards [25]
Early life
At the age of 8, he became a model for Kids London LTD[26], based in Islington, London. He has modelled for various companies and magazines, these include Littlewoods, Marks & Spencer's and John Lewis. In addition to modelling, he showed an interest in photography and social media; by the age of 13 started his own successful digital marketing agency. In 2015, Sterling was selected to be an Apple Digital Ambassador[10] for the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Personal life
Sterling is the child of Johnny Chandler[27], Founder of White Label Auction[28] and well known DJ. Johnny has performed at a range of events, some include Oasis Aftershow[29], Earls Court, Oasis Band Launch, Primal Scream, Paul Weller, Giles Peterson & Norman Jay MBE.
