James D. Kelly is a British photographer, producer, and cinematographer, originally from Bridlington, East Yorkshire.[1]
Kelly started by working in motion pictures as an onset photographer, with a focus on VFX for projects such as Sweeney Todd (film)[2], Black Panther (film) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
In 2017, Kelly was cinematographer of ‘’God’s Own Children’’, depicting two Irish boys moving from the countryside to the big city on a self-proclaimed mission from God. The film won two international festival awards.[3]
