Stuart Austin (born 3 August 1988) is an English professional mixed martial artist currently competing in the Heavyweight division. A professional competitor since 2007, Austin has fought in Bellator, EFC Africa, and BAMMA, where he was the Lonsdale Heavyweight Champion. He attend the Friary High School where he played rugby union.

Mixed martial arts career[edit]

Early career[edit]

Austin made his professional MMA debut in 2007. He spent the majority of his earlier career in his native England, where he would go 7–0, with most of his wins ending via submission or knockout.

Bellator MMA[edit]

Austin signed with Bellator in December 2013.[1]

Austin made his Bellator debut in May 2014, he faced Craig Hudson at Bellator 119. Austin won the fight via rear-naked choke submission in the opening round.[2]

Austin faced Dan Charles at Bellator 126 on 26 September 2014.[3] Despite winning the first round, he lost the fight via knockout in the third round.

BAMMA[edit]

In January 2015, Austin signed with United Kingdom-based promotion BAMMA.[4]

Austin made his promotional debut against Artur Gluchowski at BAMMA 18 on 21 February 2015.[5] He lost via split decision.

Professional Fighters League[edit]

Austin, as a replacement for Ali Isaev, was scheduled to face Renan Ferreira on June 25, 2021 at PFL 6.[6]Austin however was pulled from the bout due to unknown reasons.[7]

Austin faced Renan Ferreira on August 19, 2021 at PFL 8.[8] He lost the fight via knockout in the first round.[9]
