Developed in Japan in early 1990's & introduced / displayed at the 1993 Tokyo motor show. It had Light weight / high impact plastic window glass on the rear canopy. The Subaru Suiren appeared to be a direct replacement for the Brat pick-up - however as an Concept-only model, it was never officially developed further. ( more info to add )
