Subbu Iyer also known as Subramaniam Iyer is a Design Thinking Solutions Architect who has pioneered in the domain of fostering innovations for Enterprises. His prime ability lies in Transforming & Leading Solution Design in the domain of Architecture, Business Strategy, Business Processes & Technology Applications which integrates Digital, Business, Information Technology, Capabilities (People), Infrastructure ( Physical & Virtual Real Estate, Empirical & Analytical Data) using Business & Cognitive Intelligence.

Early Life[edit]

Born in Thrissur,Kerela ( 2nd May, 1963 ) he completed his initial education from University of Mumbai. From there he pursued his Masters from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. Later he finished a fellowship from University of Michigan in Manufacturing Management. He has co-authored Patented IP in the areas of Enterprise Transformation & Innovation that encompasses Value, Intellectual & Human Capital Management. His recent Patent Applications include Digital Identity based Banking, Intelligent Investing & Retail Blockchain.

His Major Career Roles -[edit]

Corporate Vice President and Transformation Head, Tata Consultancy Services ( May 1997 - June 1999 )[edit]

Under his leadership, TCS started offering Decision Support Solutions (DSS) in the domestic market for sustainable competitive advantage. He emphasized for the development of an external methodology to facilitate the switch from Enterprise-centric business models to Customer-centric business[1]. He focused on enterprises to band together for fighting more effectively in lieu of Increasing Global competition and the emergence of the Data Warehousing Networks.[2]

Founder & Director,Nihilent Technologies ( 2000 - 2002 )[edit]

With a focus on Industry Transformation, he co-founded Nihilent Technologies along with L C Singh,Vispi Wadia and Minoo Dastur. NEDCOR Ltd, a South African financial services group had invested $10 million (about Rs. 45 crores) for an equity position of 74.9 per cent in Nihilent Technologies[3]. The firm's core competency lied in offering strategic responsibility management services with ideas driven by Enterprise Business Solutions.At the low-end, it provided traditional software and web applications but at the higher end, it positioned itself as a business consulting service provider and strategic responsibility manager.[4]

Managing Director & CEO,Nandaki Systems ( 2004-2008 )[edit]

Nandaki Systems was established as a "Knowledge Integration" company which specialized in building and deploying plug-n-play process components that would meet the vision of Business On Demand, Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Real-Time Enterprise (RTE). As the founder, he was responsible for setting up the organization in India and then engaging in a cross merger with BroadVision, a services company based out of USA.[5]

Strategic Program Advisor,Steria (2008-2011)[edit]

He supported the transformation initiative of Steria by renewing their Global Delivery Model, which laid specific emphasis for the European Clients to engage in outsourcing as a means of Competetive Advantage.

Senior Vice President - Digital Channels Technology, Wells Fargo (2016-2017)[edit]

Throughout his entire stint at Wells Fargo, he was involved in transforming capabilities of India operations for improving its potential on the digital road map. This includes leading global agility initiatives like Operationalizing Continuous Delivery (CD) / Continuous Improvement (CI) & innovating on solutions that can potentially contribute to both Mind to Market (M2M) and Speed to Market (S2M) programs.

Chief Architect & Chief Executive Officer,HREEMM (2013 – Present)[edit]

With his vast experience in developing Innovative Solutions through-out his entire career, he ventured out his own firm " HREEMM" which focuses primarily on Seeding Transformative Growth bridging Potential with Performance. HREEMM is a next-generation business model which facilitates Transformation & Innovation as a continuous process in an enterprise along the requirements for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Their proprietary solution "Digital Maturity Index" is a unique tool which equips enterprises in figuring out the readiness level of their workforce to adopt newer technologies.

Volunteer Activities[edit]

He has been a part of the BMPS 150 ride from Houston to Austin to raise Research funds for Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA). Also, he serves as the Managing Trustee of Aanandaa Foundation which works for the promotion of Indian Classical Performing Arts. Its objective is to create the right awareness of the Indian Classical Arts especially drawing the interest of the young performers to practice and perform towards the realization that classical arts are for enlightenment and not for entertainment. Also creating the distribution, reach for access and appreciation for these art forms globally.[6]
