Submit Express was founded in 1998 by Pierre Zarokian, making it one of the oldest continuously operating SEO firms.[3] The company offers services including SEO, search engine marketing, social media marketing, link building, content writing and reputation management services.[4] The company was named one of Deloitte Fast 500 in 2008 and 2009 and on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in the US in 2007, 2008 and 2009.[5] The site has also been named the No. 1 Top SEO Website in 2010 by Jon Samsel’s Heardable.com, with over 1 million inbound links, and more than 79,000 visitors each month.[6]
Submit Express’ founder, Zarokian (a computer scientist), was named one of the San Fernando Valley Business Journal’s "Forty Under 40" award winners in 2010. He writes for several search engine industry publications, including Search Engine Watch, Sitepoint and Search Engine Journal. Zarokian was also listed in ClickZ's "37 SEO Experts Those in the Know Follow" in 2014.[6][7]
Zarokian founded the company 1998, at about the same time Google was established.[8] He was intrigued with how search engines determined their rankings while developing a search engine for a Yellow Pages site. Though the company was sanctioned by Google for black hat SEO activities in 2001,[9] the company has since only employed white hat methods and practices. The company was one of the top 10 results on Google for "search engine optimization" from 2000 to 2009.
Submit Express, Zarokian and its employees have also been featured as sources in articles about the SEO and reputation management business in publications that include Los Angeles Times,[10] The Wall Street Journal[11] and The New York Times[12] in addition to search engine industry websites.[13][14][15]
