From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Success St Fleur Jr. (born December 3rd, 1987), also known as Success Jr., is an Atlanta-based comedian, actor, producer, and writer. His comedy videos and performances portray the typical, strict Caribbean mother.

Early life[edit]

Success Jr. was born in Miami, Florida. He was raised by Haitian parents, who emigrated to the USA in 1980. He moved to Atlanta in 2018. His mother worked for an elderly care centre, while his father was a pastor.[1]

Career[edit]

Before officially stepping in the industry as a comedian, Success Jr used to perform at churches, weddings, school talent shows, and other similar events. He became a stand-up comedian in 2007 when he was 19. He also started performing in improv comedy clubs, hole in the walls, lounges, and bars. [1]

In 2016, he decided to take his career online. He started making short clips that revolved around his brought up in a strict, religious, conservative Haitian household on Instagram and Facebook. His videos feature a prominent figure, Manman Junior, that depicts the stereotypical mother in the Haitian community. His videos are aimed at “bridging the Haitian and American cultural gap.”[2]

The following year, he hosted the Haitian Flag Day 2017 with Plus Daddy, held at the MOCA Plaza. The celebration’s theme was “We Are Haiti.” Success Jr quit his day job in 2019 and started his comedy tour Coming Through America at an international level. His tour attracted over 10,000 people from over 12 cities. The show was written and co-produced by him and Plus Pierre.[3][4]

He has also worked with notable people, including the Former Haiti President Michel Martelly and musician Wyclef Jean.

Awards and recognition[edit]

Success Jr won the Best Comedian Award in 2017-2018. He was featured in the Featured in XXL Magazine as ‘Artist to look out for’ as well as performing at the Laugh Factory LA in December 2019.
