Jacques Derosena (born April 12) is a American actor best known for his role as "Leech" on the HBO television series The Wire. Born in Boston, he moved to Haiti, France and eventually back to the United States at age 13 to pursue an Acting career. His early roles were in television commercials and theatre. Eventually settling in Los Angeles , he had a role as one of "The Gurgles" on Disney television series Good Luck Charlie before breaking into larger roles in American television and film.
Career[edit]
Jacques started working in the finance department of Miramax and Dimension Films. He eventually left and began studying at Stella Adler in New York City for a few years. After finishing his studies he went on to do numerous off-broadway plays, and continued to study at "BGB Studios" in Toluca Lake, California and with "Rogue Improv" in Los Angeles. He is one of the Top Hand Models[jargon] in the World.[citation needed]
Jacques is also a Film Producer, Film Festival Organizer and Voice Over Artist. He began producing films such as One More Chance (2005 film), Murder 101 (film) which starred Tom Sizemore, Dante Basco and the film "Meth Head" starring Lukas Haas, Blake Berris, Necar Zadegan, Wilson Cruz, Scott Patterson, Theo Rossi, Candis Cayne, and Lindsay Pulsipher which won 14 Awards at many film festivals such as Gasparilla Film Festival.
He is currently on the board of "Kapow Film Festival" ; A Sci-Fi Film Festival located in North Hollywood.
Jacques has played Lead French voice characters in several video games, tv shows and animated films such as Underdogs_(2013_Argentine_film), Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, Claws (TV series).
Personal life[edit]
Jacques Derosena is an avid traveler and a regular attendee of Cannes Film festival. He is fluent in five languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, and Haitian Creole.
