Sudanese Women in Science Organization (SWSO) is a Sudanese organization, and an NGO and it is working under the umbrella of Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) and UNESCO. The organization members are Sudanese women and men in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Fields. The members are committed to achieve gender equity and empower the Sudanese females in all levels through the science and the scientific research.

SWSO has a mission to effective and participate of all Sudanese females at all levels through raising the society awareness for the women rights, women leadership capacity building and strengthen women’s economic development.

SWSO priorities are to enforce equity in:

  • Education
  • The Scientific Research
  • Job Opportunities for researchers
  • The Leadership and Political Participation [1]

It is a Sudanese Non-Governmental Organization registered with Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC), Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs-Sudan since 17 April 2013.[2]

Nashwa Eassa founded the Sudanese Women in Science Organization (SWSO) and participates in establishing the OWSD-Sudan National Chapter.[3]

It is located and hosted by the Faculty of science and technology- Al-Nilain University/ Gamhouria Street, Khartoum, SDN.
