Sulin Lau is a marketing expert,[2] public speaker,[3] creator and author of the ideation cards “Think Things”, from Malaysia.

Sulin Lau holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Government & Economics from London School of Economics and Political Science

Career[edit]

Lau was the Head of Marketing Services at Maxis Communications and won numerous awards including Effies brand of the year for 2015[4] & 2016,[5] YouTube awards ad of the year 2016.[6]

Having started her career as a planner at Leo Burnett, Lau grew her way quickly to become Planning Director (the youngest in Malaysia to date). Lau concentrated her career with creative agencies leading planning roles around APAC including DDB Worldwide / BBDO.

Lau was named one of the top 10 Amazing Women by Marie Claire in 2016.[7]

She is also an active member of the Effies Effectiveness Awards panel and a board member of Malaysia Advertisers Association.[8]

After four distinguished years at Maxis, Lau left the internet giant to join Facebook as their Head of Agency for Southeast Asia in December 2017, where she and her team helped agency partners grow their business and achieve business results for their clients using Facebook's suite of advertising tools. [9] In March 2019, she joined Grab, Southeast Asia's Ride-hailing Giant, as Regional Head of Country Marketing. [10]
