Carissa Christensen
Carissa Bryce Christensen is the founder and CEO of Bryce Space and Technology.[1][2][3][4][5][6] Christensen is a Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.[4][7]
Career[edit]
Christensen is CEO of Bryce Space and Technology.[1] She currently serves as strategic director to government and commercial clients.[1] She has testified before Congress on market dynamics [8] and as a witness to the UK House of Commons Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee [9]
She is an expert in commercial space and the interplay of government, military, and commercial activities in the aerospace sector [6] and is a frequent speaker on space and satellite trends [10] [11][12]. She currently sits on the board of the Aerospace Center for Space Policy and Strategy[4] and serves on the National Research Council Space Technology Industry-Government-University Roundtable (STIGUR) advisory group[6]
In 2020 she highlighted that governments continued and increased their focus on space as a priority, either for national defense or for exploration, during the pandemic[13].
Christensen is also an entrepreneur and investor in technology-focused startups.[4]
Christensen holds a Master of Public Policy degree from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government where she specialized in science and technology policy.[4]
