Sultana Yeasmin Laila ( Bengali: সুলতানা ইয়াসমিন লায়লা ) (born August 24, 1994) is a Bangladeshi singer. She came in news after winning the champion crown of the fourth season of the popular television reality show of NTV, Close Up-1 "Tomakei Khujchhe Bangladesh" in 2012 with the most scores from judges and public votes (through SMS).[1][2][3]
Early life[edit]
Laila born in the village of the Baraigram upazila of the Natore district under the Rajshahi division of Bangladesh. Her father's name is Md. Shafiqul Mridha and Mother's name is Asma Begum. Her childhood time spent with her family at the birthplace. [4][5]
Education[edit]
Laila passed her Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in 2010 from Moukhara high school of Baraigram upazila and passed HSC from Banpara Degree College in 2012.[4] She was not able to admit herself for the graduation degree due to attending the Close Up-1 competition. Later, she got admitted herself in a famous University of Dhaka city named UODA (University of Development Alternative) to obtain the graduation degree.[6]
Career[edit]
Laila grown up in a musical environment since childhood. She has stepped into the music scene by the inspiration of her father Shafiqul Mridha and uncle Khalek Dewan who are also folk singer.[6] After winning the Champion crown of Close Up-1 competition, has been singing many popular songs in music industry. " Ami Parinai Korite Parinai ", " Thako Bondhu Shukhe Thako ", " Ei Minoti Allah Go ", " Ami Tomar Nam Loiya Kandi ", " De Re Doob Bondhur Prem Sagore " –that's a few of his significant ones. Laila is growing up her career by performing TV Shows & Stage Shows on home and abroad. "Amar Kunje" her solo album from G Series Label. "Bondhur Dewana" one of the most popular music video of Laila.
