Sushi is a famous cat from Garðabær, Iceland. She gained prominence by regularly visiting Garðaskóli and businesses in the same area.[1]
In May 2024, following an election for the Betri Garðabær idea contest, the citizens of Garðabær voted to erect a statue in honor of Sushi.[2] The statue will be the first erected in honor of a cat in Iceland.[1]
