Susie Dobson is a British singer and songwriter. Currently part of the Fancourt Music line up, in 2017, she released her debut EP called 'Scrapbook'. She has performed at a variety of local music festivals, including the Bristol Harbour Festival, Wimbourne Music Festival,[1] Evesham Arts Festival,[2] and Pembroke College May Ball 2019.
Early life and education
Dobson grew up in Bristol, United Kingdom, attending secondary school there. She studied geography at the University of Cambridge.[3]
Music career
Dobson found her passion for music and performance studying musical theatre at secondary school[4] and then regularly performed with the Downend Folk Club.[5] Dobson performs covers of traditional pieces, adaptations of well-known songs and original pieces.[6] She has written several songs with references to student life in Cambridge, which are popular amongst fans from the city, and performed at the city's Round Church.
Folk festivals at which Dobson has performed include the Bristol Folk Festival, Folk on the Water, Keynsham Music Festival, and Bristol Fringe. She has also made guest appearances on radio stations such as BBC Radio Bristol[7] and Cam FM.
