Efe Destiny Esuakpor[1] was born on 11 November 1984 (in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria), and is better known by his industry name 'Swaps' or 'Swapsonthemix'.He is an audio mixing and mastering engineer and a recording artist based in Nigeria. He is one of Nigeria’s foremost sound engineers and is referred to by some as Africa's leading sound engineer. So far, he has enjoyed a successful career and has worked with several prominent African artists such as Reekado Banks, Iyanya, Vector, Yemi Alade, Seyi Shey, Cabosnoop, Solid Star, Kizz Daniel[2], 9ice, Sugarboy to name a few.

Early life and career[edit]
Swaps was born in Warri, Delta State, and was raised by his father. He spent his early life and teenage years in Warri Delta State, with his father and brother. He attended part of primary years in Warri, and part in Sapele and all of his secondary school years in Sapele. His love for music, and desire to become an artist intensified after secondary school.[3] He began to pursue music as a career, and released several songs, before gaining an interest in sound engineering.[3]
Professional career[edit]
Swaps began his professional Career around 2008, he pursued music as a rap artist during his teenage years, in Sapele. He released a few songs and headlined many concerts that held in Sapele, Delta State, featuring the likes of 2Baba and P-square.
He[4] moved to Lagos[5] in 2010 where he kept pursuing his music. Eventually, he got a job as a studio engineer/apprentice at a studio in Ikeja Lagos, and there he developed his interest for mixing and[6] mastering.[citation needed]
Personal life[edit]
He is happily married and lives in Lagos Nigeria.
