Tag (Tag Worldwide)
Tag is a multinational creative production and strategic sourcing company headquartered in London, United Kingdom, with regional headquarters in New York, USA, and Singapore. Tag is owned by private equity investment company, Advent International.
Tag was established by Steve Parish in 1998 following the buyout of print-production company, Adplates Ltd, of which Steve Parish was a part-owner. In 2011 Tag was sold to Williams Lea, a division of Deutsche Post DHL Group, after which the company acquired production companies Smoke & Mirrors and Big Buoy, and translation and transcreation company World Writers. In 2014 Tag merged with Williams Lea to form Williams Lea Tag.[1] Advent International completed its purchase of Williams Lea Tag from Deutsche Post DHL Group in November 2017 and appointed David Kassler as group chief executive of the business.[2]
In 2018 the company purchased digital production company Taylor James[3], on-demand digital and social media content agency THP[4], and shopper marketing activation company Popcorn Global.[5] Tag separated from Williams Lea in April 2019.[6]
Services
Tag’s creative production services include master asset creation for digital and offline channels, and content production and adaptation through translation and transcreation. Strategic sourcing services include sourcing of materials for print production and packaging.
