From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Tagvenue is a private online marketplace for booking event venues, founded in 2015 in London by Artur Stepaniak and Maksim Kondratjuks. The platform allows users to search, compare, and book venues for events, including birthdays, holiday parties, weddings, meetings, seasonal celebrations, corporate functions, and private parties. Tagvenue operates in six countries: the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, Singapore, Canada, and the United States.

As of 2025, it lists thousands of venues for events such as weddings and corporate functions. The platform uses a commission-based model, charging no fees to users.[1]

History

Tagvenue was founded in March 2015 by Artur Stepaniak and Maksim Kondratjuks, both graduates of Lancaster University. The company was created to simplify venue booking. Initially launched in London, Tagvenue expanded to other UK cities by 2016 and entered Australia, Singapore, Canada, and the United States by 2019, according to BusinessCloud.[2] Econsultancy (2016) described the platform as an “Airbnb for venues” due to its online booking model.[1] In 2020, Tagvenue introduced virtual event features in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, as reported by TechRound.[3]
