Taiwan NextGen Foundation
Taiwan NextGen Foundation, is a think-tank founded by Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) member and legislator Chen Ming-wen. Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) legislators such as legislator Lo Chih-Cheng, who is the chair of the Legislative Yuan's U.S.A. caucus, Wu Yi-Chi, who is the president of the Taiwan-India Parliamentary Friendship Association, Tsai Yi-yu, Chuang Jui-Hsiung, and Chiu Tai-Yuan.[1] The foundation releases polls that are cited by local media in Taiwan about what the public thinks about various policies being pushed by President Tsai Ing-wen and the overall Democratic Progressive Party.[2]
Origin
Taiwan NextGen Foundation was founded in early June 2016 on Zhenjiang Street next to the Legislative Yuan.[1] The foundation is made up of members of the Democratic Progressive Party in the Legislative Yuan and focused on public policy research, current political affairs, and education, with some viewing the research published as helping defend the policies of president Tsai Ing-wen’s government.[3]
