Tal Yardeni (born November 17, 1976) is an Israeli composer specializing in creating soundtracks for television and film.
Throughout his career, he has composed over 100 soundtracks for a variety of TV series and films, both in Israel and internationally.
Biography
Tal is the son of Tmira and Dudu Yardeni, and the brother of Lee Yardeni Buchris (a television producer). He grew up in Herzliya and began his musical journey at a young age. By the age of 15, Yardeni was already performing in theater productions, composing soundtracks for television programs, and creating music for stage productions and more. Over the years, Yardeni specialized as a composer in the field of media scoring, becoming a prominent figure in the industry. He has composed music for various genres including feature films, documentaries, drama series, horror, youth programs, comedies, and animation.
Among his notable projects over the years are: Connected,[1] The Golda Diaries,[2] The Golem, PMTA,[3] Euphoria,[4] HaShir Shelanu,[5] HaShminiya,[6] Green House Academy,[7] and more.
In the realm of stage productions, he composed original music for theater performances such as Yotam the Magician, Peter Pan, The Comedy Store, The Pajamas, and The Three Musketeers.
In 2001, Tal Yardeni served as the musical director for the 53rd Independence Day celebrations at Mount Herzl. Additionally, he served as the resident composer for the Ra'anana Symphonette Orchestra from 2007 to 2009.
In 2018, he established the "Media Scoring" program (Master's degree) at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and led it for five years.[8]
Yardeni is married to Maya Yardeni, a psychologist, and they have two children. They currently reside in Ramat HaSharon.
Education
Tal Yardeni holds a Master's degree in Composition from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. He studied composition and orchestration with Rafi Kadishson, a highly esteemed instructor, who later became a colleague. In recent years, they have collaborated on various artistic works and projects.[9] Additionally, Yardeni studied composition under Professor Yitzhak Sadai and harmony under Dr. Bat-Sheva Rubinstein. Among his other mentors are Dr. Yosef Bardanashvili, Professor Menachem Wiesenberg, and Professor Michael Wolpe.
Among his students are Assaf Pinklestein, Yehezkel Raz, Liad Gurushka, and Or Kadishson, whom he collaborates on numerous projects.
