TalkPoint Webcasting is a webcasting company based in New York City. The business operates in the Financial District located at 100 William Street in Lower Manhattan.

History[edit]

The company was founded in 1997 as a joint project of Dow Jones Interactive and Microsoft desktop video. The company was previously known as NextVenue and later iBEAM.[1] The company was taken private in 2004. iBeam originally launched TalkPoint as a product in 2001, the company later went private under the TalkPoint name.[2]

In September 2014, TalkPoint was acquired by Atlanta-based conferencing and collaboration provider PGi.[3]

Products[edit]

TalkPoint is a provider of webcasting services. The company offers both audio and video webcasting for small to large (20,000 plus) audiences. The company also produces webinars.

TalkPoint also hosts www.FDAAdvisoryCommittee.com which provides access to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Advisory Committee meetings.[4]
