Talk Ups

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Talk Ups was a line of pullstring dolls released in 1971 by Mattel. The pullstring handle was the body of the doll; when pulled the head and body separated, and many of the doll's phrases commented on the separation of the head and the body (e.g. "I've lost my head over you!", "Here comes my body!", and "My feet are moving closer!"). Some of the dolls were voiced by Joanne Worley[1]

The doll came in several models, including a brunette, a blonde, a red-head, and a Casper the Friendly Ghost version. These dolls interchangeably used the names "Zaney Janey", "Happy Talk", "Funny Talk", and "Silly Talk".
