Tamatha Paul is a New Zealand politician who is a councillor for the Wellington City Council under an Independent ticket. In 2018, she became the first Maori president of student union Victoria University of Wellington Students' Association  with 1701 votes, and in 2019 became a Wellington City Council councillor under Lambton Ward with 2,515 votes.
She studied Political Science at Victoria University of Wellington. She was former dux of Tokoroa High School and received a $30,0000 scholarship to attend university.
