Tamatha Paul is a New Zealand politician who is a councillor for the Wellington City Council under an Independent ticket. In 2018, she became the first Maori president of student union Victoria University of Wellington Students' Association [2] with 1701 votes,[3] and in 2019 became a Wellington City Council councillor under Lambton Ward with 2,515 votes.[4]
She studied Political Science at Victoria University of Wellington. She was former dux of Tokoroa High School and received a $30,0000 scholarship to attend university.
