Tamil Rockers is a bootleg recording network which was founded in 2011 and a public torrent website that uploads pirated copies of movies, mostly Indian films, in addition to Hollywood movies dubbed into regional languages such as Tamil, Telugu and Hindi along with the original English audio.
The Department of Telecommunication under the directive of the Government of Tamil Nadu regularly blocks the website in India, but the site administrators usually move to new domains[1] extension and change their server's IP address frequently to attempt to evade these blocks. Some members of the network were reported to have been arrested in December 2016[2] and September 2017[3][4]
In 2018, 3 people were arrested who were believed to be the admins of tamilrockers.[5]
