Tamoghna Ghosh is an Indian politician. He is the Ex-State General Secretary of Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP).[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Early life[edit]

According to his followers, he studied at Calcutta Boys School and played football. He was a regular in his school and college football team. He won medals in track and field and was also a badminton player. He has degree in drawing.

According to party sources, he completed his MBA nd his PGBDM from IIPM. He is pursuing another master's degree and applied for a Doctorate. He is a student leader of West Bengal, India.

Politics[edit]

He follows Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee. He has a close association with Subrata Bakshi, Sudip Bandyopadhyay and Partha Chatterjee. He started with District leadership in Chhatra Parishad in Congress, became State Secretary of Chhatra Parishad and then State President of Pragatisheel Indira Congress student's wing PICP. In 2009 he joined TMCP under Banerjee, who made him the West Bengal state General Secretary of TMCP, All India Trinamool Student Congress. He is a skilled debater.

He and Somendra Nath Mitra parted ways when Mitra left AITC to join Indian National Congress and became rivals.

He has been instrumental in snatching victory in student elections from colleges like Vidyasagar College, Surendranath Colleg, Jaipuria College, Khudiram Bose College, Maharaja Srish Chandra College, Manindra Chandra College, Calcutta Medical College, R.G. Kar Medical College,Anandamohan College, St Pauls and the Calcutta Technical School, Moulana Azad College.[7]

Social Work and Kali Puja[edit]

He organises various blood donation camps and also works for the undepriviledged.He is the Organising Secretary of Kolkata 9 Agragami Tarun Dal at Amherst Street. He is the General Secretary of Jhamapukur Sarbojonin Shyama Puja at Amherst Street, which is into its 73rd year.

Political Attack[edit]

He was attacked by goons at Arambagh College Gate meeting along with Jaya Dutta and Trinankur Bhattacharjee.He was severely injured and the allegation was towards their rival political party , BJP. [14]
