Shruthi Ram (born 13 November 1990) better known by her stage name Tanvi Ram is an Indian film actress who works primarily in Malayalam films. She ventured into acting in 2019 with leading roles in Ambili and Kappela.[1]
Career
Tanvi's debut came in 2019 with Johnpaul George's comedy drama film Ambili, in which she played a girl who is in a relationship with a mentally challenged orphan man, played by Soubin Shahir.[2] Reviewing the film for Times of India, Deepika Jayaram wrote that Tanvi "convincingly conveyed the idea that true love transcends all boundaries".[3] Her portrayal of Teena as a newbie got positive responses from the critics.[4][5] Ambili proved to be a critical and commercial success. She next starred in Kappela (2020) alongside Anna Ben, Roshan Mathew and Sreenath Bhasi were she played a school teacher who is in an affair with her cousin played by Bhasi.[6]

Tanvi is featuring in Jude Anthany Joseph’s film 2430 ft, co-starring Tovino Thomas.[7] She is additionally set to star opposite Dhyan Sreenivasan in Khali Purse of Billionaires were is will be playing a Karate blackbelt holder.[8] She will be playing Jayasurya's sister in upcoming movie John Luther[9] She is set to make her Telugu debut through Ante Sundaraniki co-starring Nani and Nazriya Nazim.[10]
