Teresa Rasmussen is the president and Chief Executive Officer of Thrivent, a not-for-profit financial services organization. She is also one of 38 female CEOs in Fortune 500 companies.[1]

Rasmussen graduated from Minnesota State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Accounting and as a Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota.[2]
Career[edit]
Rasmussen's legal career started in 1984 as a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice in the tax division. Between 1990 and 2000, she joined American Express and Ameriprise Financial.
Rasmussen joined Thrivent in 2005. She is also an independent director at HB Fuller.[3] she worked as an attorney for Northeast Securities Corporation, as well as Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly.[4]
Before becoming CEO of Thrivent, Teresa Rasmussen was the company's vice president, general counsel and secretary.[5]
