Terez Sliman (Arabic: تريز سليمان‎, born 4 August 1985), is a Palestinian indie singer, songwriter, actress and performer.

Early life[edit]

Sliman was born and raised in Haifa, she enrolled for Music at the University of Haifa,[1] where she graduated in 2007, after that she studied Music Therapy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.[2]

Musical career[edit]

Sliman first became known for her roles in local music performances and theatrical plays,[3] in 2010 she performed in the Young Vic production “I Am Yusuf and This Is My Brother”,[4] directed by Amir Nizar Zuabi.[5]

In 2011, together with DJ Bruno Cruiz, Mahmoud Jrere, Walaa Sbait from 47Soul and TootArd, Sliman released the single "Green Revolution", a contribute to the Tunisian Revolution. In 2014 Sliman collaborated with rapper Tamer Nafar and Poet Marwan Makhoul to release the single “God of Revolution”.[6]

In 2014 Sliman and guitarist Yazan Ibrahim formed the group “Terez Yazan and Friends” and released their album “Almond Blossom”.[7][8]

Starting from 2015, Sliman teamed up with Portuguese singer Sofia Portugal to form "Mina World Music".[9] The band released their album “Mina” in 2016.[10]
