Ternate is a major ethnic group living in North Maluku province of Indonesia. This people primarily live in Ternate island and also other parts in Halmahera. Ternate people are muslims and famous as the founder of Ternate Sultanate, the easternmost Islamic kingdom in the world along with Tidore, Jailolo and Bacan.[1]
