The Base (platform)

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Base is a social networking platform discovered in November 2018 that has reportedly spread "neo-nazi" views.[1] On 19 August 2019 the Winnipeg Free Press released a report claiming to have infiltrated the group, accusing Patrik Mathews, a member of the Canadian Primary Reserve, as being a member.[2] This led to an RCMP raid on his home on August 20,[3] and the Canadian Forces firing him on August 27.[4] Mathews went missing on August 28.[5]

In September, police in Winnipeg warned Mathews may have fled to the United States, and Vice described "The Base" as a "terror group" in addition to being a platform.[6]
