The Evangelist is the official newspaper of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, New York.

History[edit]

The Evangelist was founded in 1925 by Msgr. John F. Glavin, a longtime priest of the diocese, as a magazine.[1] It is published on Thursday.

Bishops Howard James Hubbard and Edward Bernard Scharfenberger have written a column for each issue during their tenures as Bishop.
