The West Haven Voice is a paid weekly, local newspaper in West Haven, Connecticut, which started publication in 1998. It is published every Thursday. The newspaper provides local news and views by and for West Haven, CT.

History[edit]

Debuting in 1998, it was originally published to offer West Haven an alternative voice in the community.[2] It is currently published both in paper and online through Suburban Voices Publishing.[3] The newspaper focuses on local issues, such as the city's financial condition[4] or city's school system,[5] and it is used by the school system to publish its bus schedule.[6] The city of West Haven, Connecticut is located in the New Haven County, Connecticut, and its daily newspaper, New Haven Register, has historically covered the city of West Haven, as one of the 19 cities and towns in the county. New Haven Register often covers stories related to West Haven Voice's publishing record.[7][8]

Notable staff[edit]

In 2016, a former writer named Corey Menafee famously smashed a window at Yale University he found offensive.[9][10]
