The Hollywood Stars are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in late 1973 by manager/impresario Kim Fowley.[1][2] Fowley intended to create a West Coast answer to The New York Dolls.[3][4][5]<[6] He hand-picked five local musicians to form the group.[7] [8] [2][3][9][10]
