The Knock is a 2018 mystery thriller short film written and directed by Xianoo Khan. Inspired by Martin McDonagh's Seven Psychopaths and David Fincher's Fight Club, the short portrays the confrontation of a small-time thief with his creator. It is the first installment in a trilogy of short films based on the concept of alternate reality and was released online on YouTube and Facebook on December 03, 2018.
Synopsis
A writer is woken up by an uninvited guest who questions him for his doings and then asks him to reconsider them, leading to consequences they both are unaware of.

Production
Production for the film started in the first week of November 2018. Changes to the script were made right before shooting due to the opting out of the actor who was supposed to play the role of The Writer. The role was then subsequently helmed by the director, Xianoo Khan himself. After some rehearsals, the shooting started in Bahria Town, Lahore. The shooting took place late in the evening and the filming completed overnight.
Release
The film was submitted as a Thesis Project at National College of Arts, Lahore Pakistan and was later released online on YouTube.
