The Lead is the debut extended play by British girl group FLO, that got released on 8 July 2022 through Island Records.[1]

Singles

The Lead is supported by two singles. "Cardboard Box" is their debut single and appeared in the debut extended play, which acted as the lead single of the EP.[2] This single got viral through social media platform, TikTok. The single was released on March 24, 2022, with the music video being released on April 1, 2022.[3][4] The trio described the song as "getting yourself together after a breakup…"[5]

The second single named, "Immature", was released on July 6, 2022, the same day where they announced their debut EP.[6][7][8] Pitchfork described the trio’s vocals as "an icy edge, while the trio’s golden harmonies at the bridge keep things crisp."[9] A music video for this single was released, the same day where the EP debuted.[10]
