The Mac Weekly
The Mac Weekly is the student newspaper of Macalester College. It has a circulation of 1,600 and was established in 1914.[1] The paper publishes twelve or thirteen volumes[clarification needed], ranging from 16 to 24 pages, each semester.[2]
The paper's staff are mostly volunteers, with the exception of the editor in chief, the web manager and the advertising editor who receive payment from the college. A satirical section, The Mock Weekly, is added to the last issue of each semester. The paper has published a magazine three times, in April 2006, March 2007 and November 2007.
