The Quantum Group SA is a Swiss company headquartered in Zug.
History[edit]
The Quantum Group was founded in Zug at the end of 2020 with a share capital of 1 million Swiss francs. The company's objective is to invest in the luxury goods sector. The founder is Rea Stark, who together with Anton Piëch founded the company Piëch Automotive.[1]
It was announced in May 2021 that Quantum Group, together with the British financial investor Centricus Asset Management, had made VW an offer for the Lamborghini brand.[2] The offer of initially €7.5 billion, with the possibility of an extension to €9.5 billion, was however rejected by VW.[3][4] Quantum also proposed a strategic partnership with VW in which knowledge and technology would be shared. VW did not comment on this further offer (as of June 2021).[5]
