The Scent of a Killer is a 2022 crime thriller written and co-directed by Luke Mascioli and Sam Sungmin Lee. The film stars Tilly Fisher, Emma Spencer-Lelek, Kieren Dawson, Madison Hammond, Angela Dodson, Helene Dunlop, David Buchanan, Huw Jennings and Nataleigh Maree-Elzein. The film follows protagonist Sophie Hudson as she tries to come to terms with the death of her father. After opening a mysterious gift, Sophie begins to learn more about the truth of her father's disappearance. Against all odds, Sophie must solve the mystery and find out the truth behind her father’s puzzling death.

The film was first written by Mascioli in December 2020 during the COVID-19 Pandemic under the strict stay at home orders that were being implemented during the time. The story underwent various adaptions from the original draft which focused more on the bond shared between a mother and her daughter.
