Thorat Koli

The Thorat Koli[1] (Marathi: थोरात) is a clan (Gotra) of Koli caste found in the Indian state of Maharashtra and Union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.[2]

The Thorat Kolis ruled over Dadra and Nagar Haveli till 1262.[3] but in 1262, Koli king Nag Thorat was defeated by Ramsing who was a Rajput from Rajasthan.[4] later, Thorat Kolis lived by plundering.[5]
