Tiago Ferreira (scientist)

Tiago (Alves) Ferreira was born in 1980 in Porto, Portugal. He is a computational neuroanatomist at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute's Janelia Research Campus. He's known for developing tools and methods for quantitative analysis of neuronal morphology.[1] [2]

Studies[edit]

Ferreira received his master's degree (Licenciatura) in biology from Porto University. He performed his PhD studies at the EMBL (Rome site), receiving his PhD from Heidelberg University in 2009. He was a postdoctoral fellow at McGill University from 2009 to 2017.[1][3]
