Tingo International Holdings is a holding company incorporated in the state of Delaware, and fully owns Africa's first mobile device manufacturing company - Tingo Mobile PLC.[1] Tingo Mobile PLC also provides telecommunications services to African farmers in Africa.[2][3]

History

Tingo International Holdings Inc was founded in 2001 by Dozy Mmobuosi to enhance and support agriculture across Africa through technology. The holding, through Tingo Mobile PLC, has sold millions of devices to African farmers. On February 2019, ex-president Goodluck Jonathan was appointed Chair of the Advisory Board of Tingo.[4] In February 2020, Tingo International unveiled Reno Omokri as its brand ambassador.[5][6]

Tingo Mobile

Tingo Mobile was founded in January 2001. The subsidiary is a telecommunications company providing network services as well as mobile device manufacturing. The company has claimed to have sold over 12 million devices.[citation needed]

Tingo Mobile UK and USA

Tingo Mobile UK and USA was founded in 2019. The company offers mobile virtual network operators (MVNO’s) and is initially focusing efforts to cater to the vast market of the African Diaspora. Tingo Mobile is currently partnered with BT Group and AT&T.

Tingo Remit

Tingo Remit, a subsidiary of Tingo Holdings, offers money transfer services. They also offer health remit services across Africa. Africans in the diaspora, through the health remit service, can enroll people for healthcare programs.
