Todd Wyett is an American businessperson. Beginning his career as a lawyer, he has since founded companies including Versa Lamont Ventures and Versa Development. As a public servant, he is the Chair of the Michigan State Transportation Commission, and served on several other public boards and committees.

Wyett received a bachelor’s in economics from Swarthmore College, followed by his JD from Georgetown University.[1]
Business career[edit]
Wyett began his career at Weil, Gotshal & Manges as a corporate development attorney and associate. After leaving private practice, he became the vice president, general counsel, and secretary for Arbor Drugs, Inc.[1] Wyett then founded[2][3][4] real estate company Versa Development, where he currently serves as a principal.[1] The first acquisition of Versa was a regional shopping mall during the 2008 recession.[5] Wyett has continued to invest in commercial land and property through the company. He is also a principal of Versa Lamont Ventures.[6][7]
Public service[edit]
As a public servant, Wyett served as the Chairman of the Michigan State Waterways Commission, the Lyon Township Downtown Development Authority, and is a member of the Oakland County Sheriff’s Advisory Council. He was a member of the Michigan Economic Development Commission Corporate Board, and in 2008 he was appointed to the Michigan Economic Development Commission Executive Committee for an eight-year term by the Governor of Michigan.[3] Wyett was appointed to the Michigan State Transportation Commission in 2011 by the Governor of Michigan, and was reappointed in 2015 and 2019. He also served as Chair of the Commission since 2015.[1][8] In his capacity, he has written opinion pieces for publications including Crain's Detroit Business.[9]

Wyett has served on the Huntington National Bank's East Michigan Region Advisory Board, board of trustees for McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital, the board of trustees for Detroit Public TV,[1] the Henry Ford Health Systems Foundation, and the Michigan Wetlands Advisory Council.[10]
